True Music Festival 2013: Flaming Lips, Bassnectar, Wiz Khalifa Set To Headline Debut Event

True Music Festival

Some of the mystery surrounding the debut True Music Festival (December 14, 2013) has been revealed with the first round of artist announcements. The inaugural fest will bring even more heat to the Arizona desert with The Flaming Lips, Bassnectar, Wiz Khalifa, Capitol Cities, and Lord Huron. The venue will be the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona.

With a genre-hopping start of a lineup, and everything from electronic to indie folk to hip-hop, we have no idea who will fill out the rest of the bill. I do know that the Flaming Lips put on one of the best live shows around, and I can’t stress this enough, you get to hang outside listening to tunes in the middle of December while most of the country is shivering. Post your best guesses below for who we will see added next to the lineup.

Pre-sale has already started around $70. Not bad for a festival that promises “one day will change everything.”

Born during a sweaty, backstage, Bonnaroo downpour, the editor-in-chief's mission in life is to dance, write, and travel to every great festival that this wide world has to offer. While his identity remains a mystery, you may have already met him, probably when he helped himself to your party favors.
