The music festival world is digging itself out after being buried this week in an avalanche of major festival announcements. From coast to coast across the US, festies were pummeled with full lineup drops complete with headliners and a flood of complaints that “this festival used to be better.” The massive event seems to have been triggered by a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon – Bonnaroo and Coachella announcing on the same day. Once the stalwart dam known as the mega-festival radius clause was breached on both coasts, multiple lineups were released with reports of headliners all the way up into Canada and even London.
