Lake. Trees. Music. Sounds like a great festival to us. The MFW staff are campers at heart — we spent the winter living in an RV so there’s a special place in our heart for a weekend in the forest. The Tall Tree Lake Music Festival in Southern Illinois is certainly on our wish list for a fall camping trip.

Headliners for the festival include: Emmitt-Nershi Band (2 Nights), Big Gigantic, Ana Sia, Alex B., Emancipator, Eliot Lipp, and Gift of Gab from Blackalicious.

Tickets for the September 24-25 show are $55 for a two-day pass which includes camping. Sites are located right next to your car. There’s also a Bluegrass Barn Jam on Friday with Emmitt-Nershi Band, Mountain Sprout, Deadman Flats, Whistle Pigs, and Ballhog. This show costs $10.
