This winter is already heating up with the arrival of the Horizon Festival scheduled for March 8-14, 2014. The second edition will take over the Bankso Ski Resort in Bulgaria. And yes, they have ski areas in Bulgaria.
Not your typical festival, Horizon has secluded stages tucked around the mountain like the apres-ski Secret Hotel complete with its own terrain park. There’s also going to be pro riders hanging out teaching tricks. Once the sun sets, the party spills into 20 venues scattered around the mountain.
The six day marathon of dance music will feature acts like Kerri Chandler, Bondax, Ame, Andreya Triana, Roy Davis Jr. KiNK, CatzN Dogz, Detroit Swindle, Phaeleh, Dub Phizix, and dBridge. A little more from the festival:
Horizon 2014 is set to retain their status as a forward thinking music festival, while offering a slightly broader spectrum from the dance genre including House, Techno, Garage, Bass & Groove. The line up embodies these genres; incorporating many trailblazers on the underground scene, as well as those rather more established acts who offer a nod to the heritage of dance music.
