After weeks of rumors and teases, we can confirm the dates and location of the debut WayHome Festival in Canada. A pretty new website launched today with the dates (June 24-26, 2015) and a venue – Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Barrie, Ontario. The location details have been floating around the Interwebs since Christmas, but we don’t like to make the call until it’s set on the official website.
The website hints that your phone/Internet might not work at this fest in their “About Us” manifesto by leading off with “Life was different before the internet. Probably better.” No word yet on the lineup or even the style of music, but with AC Entertainment (Bonnaroo Music Festival) as one of the organizers we’re expecting to see a pretty gigantic mega-festival style lineup.
Tickets are going on sale February 16 for $209.99 and could go as high as $289.99. The GA pass includes tent camping which is first come, first serve.
