Lineups are filtering in slowly for some of the bigger metal/rock festivals in Europe. Here’s some of the latest additions:
Wacken Open Air: The self proclaimed largest metal open air festival in the world may be six months away, but it’s already sold out. New names have recently been added — PRETTY MAIDS, ALESTORM, COPPELIUS, MUSTASCH, 9MM, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, DEW-SCENTED DEVIL DRIVER, BLACK MESSIAH, CALLEJON and BENIGHTED.
Summer Breeze: Is it metal to release artist names with an Advent calendar? Probably as long as you use rotting Christmas zombies as a backdrop. A few of the latest include — WALLS OF JERICHO, ORDEN OGAN, DR.LIVING DEAD, AMORPHIS, FIDDLER’S GREEN, TIAMAT, DYING FETUS, HATEBREED, WE CAME AS ROMANS, GRAVE, LONG DISTANCE CALLING, SOILWORK and SALTATIO MORTIS.
