Langerado Music Festival Cancelled…Again

The once popular Langerado Music Festival will miss another season. After taking a two year hiatus, Langerado had been scheduled for October 8-9, 2011 at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida. Death Cab for Cutie, Ween, and Arctic Monkeys were all slated to play.

The official website now reads: “Boros Entertainment has regretfully cancelled Langerado.”

Sounds similar to 2009 when organizers pulled the plug. Critics blamed the venue change to Miami as the main reason why the fest lost popularity. It’s hard to pull off a jam-band centric festival without camping.

No reason for this year’s sudden change of heart, so what do you think caused the demise of the October show? Poor tickets sales? The lineup? The location? Speak out below.
