The BUKU Music + Art Project, which debuted last spring, is back from March 8-9, 2013, in the great music festival city of New Orleans. With intimate settings, think of BUKU as an antidote to the “mega-festival”. It’s also a sweet excuse to party in New Orleans for Spring Break.

The lineup so far for 2013 includes Kid Cudi, Calvin Harris, Primus 3D, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, STS9 (2 sets), NERO, Flux Pavilion, Zedd, Major Lazer, Best Coast, Big Gigantic, Datsik, Dillon Francis, R3hab, Alt-J, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Earl Sweatshirt, Starfucker, Lettuce, Flosstradamus, RAC, Aeroplane, Shlohmo, St. Lucia, JMSN, Poolside, Big Freedia, Hundred Waters, Break Science, Nicky Da B, Brown & Gammon, Buku, Gravity A, Coyotes, Shanook, Christoph Andersson, Unicorn Fukr and Kid Kamillion.

New for 2013 will be more hip-hop/live bands mixed into the EDM lineup along with a brand new “Float” stage which fits in nicely with the rest of the venue — the historic warehouse district in downtown New Orleans.

Three stages – the “Power Plant” will be outdoors right along the Mississippi River (so sick, trust us), the “Float Den” is a trippy warehouse where all the Mardi Gras floats are manufactured, and the “Ballroom” will be indoors in a sleek ballroom space. And they are very close to each other for optimal raging.

Born during a backstage Bonnaroo downpour, Vito's mission in life is to dance, write, and travel to all the great festivals that this wide world has to offer.
