Today in Canadian festival news, we’re checking out the initial lineup for the seventh annual Sled Island Festival (June 19-22, 2013) which takes place in Calgary, Alberta. Organizers have confirmed the first batch of artists:

Sled Island is a showcase style festival that’s hosted by over 30 venues in the city. The big shows happen at Olympic Plaza with Explosions in the Sky slated for Friday night and Jesus and Mary Chain throwing the Saturday show.
