The 2011 UK Festival Awards handed out trophies to the best fests in the UK. About two hundred festivals were nominated over a variety of categories with hundreds of thousands votes casted. Â Glastonbury nabbed a win for “Best Major Festival”, while Sonisphere received props for pulling together the Big 4 (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth) in their lineup.

Best Family Festival: Beautiful Days

Best Line-Up: Sonisphere
Fan’s Favourite Festival: Bestival
The Grass Roots Festival Award: Y-Not Festival (they also won ‘Best Toilets’ award)
