The Scene

For over forty years, Tønder Festival has been one of Denmark’s major music festivals. The folk and roots music events continues to grow, but stays true to hand-made music like folk, blues, country, old-time, cajun, and roots. Tønder Festival is particularly famous for its special atmosphere, with musicians and audience coming into close contact with each other, and with large-scale concerts alternating with intimate sessions.
