–The ninth edition of the Ponderosa Stomp is ready to jam New Orleans September 24-25th. The Mystic Knights of the Mau Mau, founders of the festival, pride themselves on reviving the careers of unsung folk hero legends.

–The Philadelphia Film & Music Festival combines the best of both worlds September 23-26. Screenings and live performances will be combined, outdoor films will be shown around the city, and there’s even a improvised film scoring series done live.

–It’s time to get experimental at this year’s Sonic Circuits Festival. Since 2002, the festival has been bringing non-commercial music to the straight-laced Washington DC area. It takes place this year from September 18-25th.

–From an idea in a bar to a full fledged music festival, Starry Nights brings regional acts from the bars to the big stage in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This year the October 1-2 festival features Cage The Elephant and Keller Williams.
