Festival Briefs: Bacon Music Festival, The Dead Reunited, Coachella Co-Owner Under Fire, Panorama, Lowlands, and More!

Coachella Co-Owner Still An Asshole
After being called out last year for donating $190,000 to anti-gay groups, Coachella co-owner Philip Anschutz, proudly stated that “I unequivocally support the rights of all people without regard to sexual orientation,” and dismissed the easily verified claims as “fake news.” Well, turns out the Anschutz Foundation has funded even more anti-LGBTQ groups as detailed by Pitchfork in their latest depressing report.

Deadheads Rejoice
Dust off your Birks and your dancing bears t-shirt, Virginia jam festival mecca, Lockn’, has announced their first headliner will be Dead & Company. Classic Dead lineup members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will play four sets over two nights. Lockn’ is slated to run from August 23-26th.

Under the Radar
How do you feel about bacon? How about two f’ing tons of bacon? The Beer Bacon Music Festival combines 75+ brews, enough bacon to make you never want to eat it again, and a bunch of music. We assume true lovers of bacon will hit up all three stops of this traveling bacon tour.
