Joining Kit-Kats and bourbon, the United State’s next cultural export to Japan is massive EDM festivals. Electric Zoo has announced that they will expand to Tokyo for a show on May 5, 2015. It will take place on Makuhari Beach during the Golden Week Holiday. This won’t be their first trip abroad — last spring saw Electric Zoo head down to Mexico City.
For the past few years Electric Zoo has owned Labor Day Weekend on Randall’s Island in New York City. They already have dates set for September 4-6, 2015.
Last fall Ultra touched down in Japan and announced that is was “officially the largest electronic music event ever to take place on Japanese soil.” The gauntlet has been thrown down!
