Electric Daisy Carnival, one of the largest music festivals in the country is expanding into Chicago this Memorial Day Weekend. The three day EDM festival has confirmed dates from May 24-26, 2013, at the Chicagoland Speedway. Electric Daisy Carnival has been expanding in recent years to Puerto Rico, Orlando, and New York, as well as their home base in Las Vegas. The exciting news about the Chicago stop — fans will finally be able to camp at EDC.

From Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac:

“This is the first EDC that will offer fans the opportunity to camp while enjoying the festival and I know that the Chicagoland Speedway is the ideal location. I’m really excited we’ve added Chicago to the EDC family of festivals.”

That’s now five, count ’em, five flavors of Electric Daisy Carnival. No word yet on NYC, PR, and Orlando. The dates of EDC Las Vegas will be June 21-23, 2013.

Tickets: Passes to the EDC Chicago show go on sale January 23, 2013 at 12 p.m. CST. Three-day general admission tickets will initially be priced at $175 with VIP tickets selling at $299 before service fees. The camping/festival package, which includes three-day general or VIP admission plus camping pass, will be priced at $295 and $419, respectively.
