DeLuna Fest of Penscola Beach did so well last year that organizers have decided to expand it for 2011. In fact, they’re saying “DeLuna 2011 is a game changer.”
What does that mean? For starters, and the big news, is that DeLuna Fest will have hotels on site. The entire festival grounds which are on the beach will include three major hotels including a brand new Holiday Inn. They’re calling it “the first Resort Destination Festival.”
Think camping festival, but instead of tents and mud, you have comfortable beds in an air-conditioned room, instead of cold food, there’s room service available along with the amazing service Innisfree provides at all of their hotel properties. This is a revolutionary festival experience.
No word on the lineup, but organizers say to expect jam bands, New Orleans Jazz, blues, electronic and Southern rock along with plenty of local acts. Last year, acts included Neon Trees, Michael Franti, 311, and Stone Temple Pilots.
Here are some other notable additions:
— Stages are being doubled from three to six.
— A jazz and blues tent will be added.
— There will be an electronic music stage inside the Hilton’s main ballroom.
— Hotel guests get access to VIP pre-party, preferred seating, and VIP lounges.
— Festival dates will be expanded from three days to four.
The DeLuna 2011 Fest website hasn’t gone live yet, but you can get more information on their Facebook. The dates of the festival are from October 13-16 and the lineup is expected sometime in May. Early bird packages go on sale in April.
