The Dave Matthews Band broke a lot of hearts when they announced there would be no 2011 tour. This week, they released a tease on their site revealing that DMB would headline and host four music festivals this year.

Here’s the word from the official DMB site:

Dave Matthews Band will host four three-day music festivals across the US this summer. The multi-stage events will feature a wide array of diverse musical talent with Dave Matthews Band performing a headlining set each night. Exact locations, lineups, ticketing and lodging info will be announced soon.

The only hints DMB provides is that a Northeast/MidAtlantic show will happen June 24-26, and a Midwest show has been scheduled July 8-10. The other two fests will go down in August and September.

There’s no word yet on specific locations, but that hasn’t stopped the Interwebs from going aflutter with rumors. The latest is that the first show will be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The Dave Matthews Band isn’t the only mega-rockstars throwing a festival. Pearl Jam announced earlier this year that would host a festival somewhere in the US.

What would you say (did you see what I did there?) to a DMB Festival?
