Okay, I only have three for you this week because I’m in transit to Rothbury as we speak. So excited to go back for my second year. This is one of the more unique festivals on the circuit. These are my can’t miss shows:

1. Cold War Kids: I first caught these guys at Bonnaroo. I had no intention of seeing the show, but was drawn in by the voice of the lead vocalist, Nathan Wille. I wound up front row for the remainder of the set. I’m fired up to catch them again. They play Thursday July 2rd at 1:15 am on Sherwood Court.

2. Broken Social Scene: How many band members will be at Rothbury? Could be anywhere from nineteen to five. No matter how many are playing, you will be entertained. The leaders, Kevin Drew and Brenden Canning, have invited others, including Feist and Emily Haines (Metric!), to join them at shows. Get surprised on Friday July 3rd at 5:45 pm on The Ranch Arena.

3. MSTRKRFT: These two musically different artists are best known for their remixed indie rock songs from bands like Wolfmother, Metric and R.I.P Death From Above. Like I’ve said before, the fall of one great band can result in something even better. In this case, Death From Above’s Jesse F. Keeler, got together with AI-P, formerly Girlsareshort, to bring you now what is MSTRKRFT (pronounced Master Kraft). Bring your dancing shoes for this late night feature Saturday July 4th at 12:15 am on Sherwood Court.
