Boston Calling the Third
Last year, Boston Calling delighted fans at their debut music festival by announcing a second edition that would take place in the fall of the same year. It’s a bold move for a first timer, but considering the lack of fests in Boston and a roster of talent that included The National, Vampire Weekend, and Passion Pit, it’s no surprise that Boston Calling will return in 2014.

Dates have been scheduled for May 23-25, 2014, once again at the City Hall Plaza. The third Boston Calling will be curated by Aaron Dessner of the National and will be topped by Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Brand New, The Head and the Heart, Tegan and Sara, Built to Spill, and Bastille. If that’s not enough big names, there’s still one major mystery headliner to be named later.

The presale for tickets begins Wednesday at 10 am. Three-day general-admission passes are $150 (and $250 for VIP three-day passes). Tickets for Friday performances as well as two-day and three-day passes will go on sale January 31.
