May is always a busy month for music festivals around the world, with the United States and the United Kingdom both celebrating major holiday weekends. We pulled together as many music festival lineups as we could to inspire your pre-summer festing plans.
Where: Numero Uno, Malta
The Scene: Annie Mac, a popular Irish DJ, hosts the Lost and Found Festival every spring on the sun-drenched island of Malta. Sultry electronic beats transform this warm weather holiday haven into a bumping 4-day festival. AMP Lost and Found finds itself playing in multiople venues including castle raves and boat parties.

Where: Calvià, Spain
The Scene: Mallorca, the largest of the the Balearic Islands, welcomes in the Spanish summer festival season with the multi-genre Mallorca Live Festival. Only starting in 2016, Mallorca Live has grown so popular that it regularly welcomes 25,000 festies to the western town of Calvià. The lineup is a mix of international superstars along with plenty of national talent.

The Scene: The largest hip-hop festival in the world is a three-day event that started in Miami, Florida. The Scene: Making the most out of tragedy, Rooster Walk was started to celebrate the lives of two childhood friends that passed away. With a mission to create a festival that could fund a scholarship, the Rooster Walk Music and Arts was born. A decade later, this festival for charity has become a centerpiece event of the region.

The Scene: Looking for a contemplative weekend of drum circles and mellow campfire jams -- then Rocklahoma is your nightmare. The only thing more legendary than the lineup at Rocklahoma are the campground ragers. The Scene: After a standout debut in 2013, the award winning We Are FESTVL continues to evolve into one of the UK's most popular electronic festivals. Taking place over the May bank holiday weekend, hundreds of international DJs descend upon the aptly named Airfield of Dreams (just east on London) to play on more than 15 custom stages. After five years, they've even been able to add camping to the bill.

The Scene: Long before the onslaught of the modern day EDM festival scene, the Movement Festival has owned downtown Detroit over Memorial Day weekend. The Scene: Combining mankind's three greatest creations (punk rock, bowling, and Las Vegas), this annual festival has grown popular enough to spin off editions across the country. The Scene: HowTheLightGetsIn, the world's largest philosophy and music festival, returns with thought-provoking debates, infectiously danceable music, comedy, and, of course, their legendary parties.
