Happy 5th birthday to the 80/35 Music Festival
How quickly these music festivals grow up. The 80/35 Music Festival in Des Moines, Iowa is celebrating their fifth birthday this July 6-7, 2012. Their first present of a lineup features indie rockers Death Cab for Cutie, Dinosaur Jr. and Fucked Up along with jammier bands like The Avett Brothers, Leftover Salmon, and Greensky Bluegrass.
It’s a solid first lineup announcement, but the real reason behind the success of 80/35 has to be the ticket price. At only $49 for a 2-day pass and $29 for a single day, this festival packs a ton of value. Keep in mind that this is only the first dozen of about 40 artists.
