140 Arrested at Vail’s SnowBall Festival

We noted that last year, the Avon police appeared to be working overtime busting everybody and anybody at Colorado’s SnowBall Festival.

Turns out that Johnny Law was just getting warmed up.

With a year to prepare, the local police chief managed to triple his staff, which included undercover narcotics agents. Arrests increased from 48 in 2011 to 140 over the last weekend.

The SnowBall definitely needs to change location, perhaps to a more chill ski town. Undercover cops? That definitely puts a damper on a fun show. Although in a hilarious twist, fans that were busted and released on bail returned to the show and pointed out the narcs.
